Allison Cantor freaking loves composing music for TV!
From using her keyboard to ‘score’ stories told by her brother as a young child, through writing piano music for key scenes of the Harry Potter books in elementary school, through studying technology and techniques of scoring film and television in graduate school, through many years of experience working directly in film and television: Allison has loved every moment of being a composer her whole life.
Allison got her professional start working with Mark Isham as an orchestrator, additional music composer, copyist, score coordinator, and general assistant on such awesome shows as Once Upon A Time, American Crime, Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, Godfather of Harlem, The Nevers, Little Fires Everywhere, and Mob City. Additionally, she worked on a variety of awesome films including The Accountant, Togo, Bill & Ted Face the Music, The Longest Ride, Sun Dogs, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent – and as a massive baseball and Dodgers fan, 42 was a particular highlight. Allison’s tenacity, focus, and passion were amplified by having two awesome sons with husband Lucas Cantor Santiago.
Allison is currently co-scoring The Cleaning Lady (Fox) with Mark Isham and La Rebelión (Pantaya) with Lucas Cantor Santiago and Edy Lan.
